She cannot give everything she is for a human. Not again. But this one tried to save her, even without having known her. Steven would have done the same. Steven has done the same.

It will have to be enough.

Her wings cleave the air with a neat stroke that sends her soaring upward, and, after the briefest moment of deliberation - she dives, wings folding tightly to her back as she lands on the beast's creaking metal back.
