She has no idea what assumptions are safe to make. She feels out of touch, obsolete, even with that which she should have the utmost familiarity.

It hasn't escaped her that an introduction might be unwise. It might betray her intentions. But this is the first taste of home she's gotten since arriving here. Maybe it would be best.
